FMCSA TO BEGIN USING ENFORCEMENT POWERS ON UNSAFE TRUCKING COMPANIES

In 2007 the GAO found that the FMCSA was not using its enforcement powers to levy the maximum fines against flagrant safety violators. In a welcome turn of events the FMCSA has instituted a new policy that will levy the maximum fines more swiftly on unsafe trucking companies. These penalties include fines for failing to maintain proper records and failing to maintain proper levels of financial responsibility.

I worked for this company hauling cars. its a small conpany and the ower doesnt care about running legal. everyone of his truck has trouble. he wants us to by pass scales. so he dont get fined. there has been times that he yelled because I needed to shut down because of my 14 hours rule. so there was alot of time i had to run illegal. this is why i dont work for him.. how can I make DOT aware of this company.. plus no one hired on has ever taken a drug test or road test. he hires off the street people to drive his stuff..
